We provide a wide range of computing and IT services to Birkbeck students and staff, including internet and wireless network (wifi) access, email and file storage, PC workstations, technology-enhanced learning tools, and website and corporate information systems.

Usernames and passwords

Staff and students can access computing facilities at Birkbeck via their unique ITS username and password.

My Birkbeck

My Birkbeck is the place for you to access Birkbeck services online, including Moodle, your timetable, enrolment and other online services appropriate for you.

Log in to Moodle

Moodle is Birkbeck's virtual learning environment, where you can find academic materials, course handbooks and study skills training.

Birkbeck provides email services for staff and students.

Wireless and mobile computing (WiFi)

Software

We make a range of software available to Birkbeck staff and students.

Teaching rooms and audiovisual support

We provide the AV equipment in Birkbeck teaching rooms and offer responsive support in the event of any difficulties encountered using it.

Disability support

Birkbeck Library offers a wide range of assistive technology and services specifically for students with disabilities, including mental health conditions, and dyslexia.

Workstation rooms

We provide computer rooms with PCs and standard software for teaching, open access use and external hire.

IT facilities in Stratford

Students at University Square Stratford (USS) can access all of the computing and IT facilities they need to succeed in their studies.

Printing

Black and white (mono) laser printers are provided in all IT Services workstation rooms, in the library and in a Quick Print Kiosk near main reception in the main building.

Training

We provide online training facilities for Birkbeck staff and students, so you can develop your general IT skills or learn how to use a particular piece of software.

Phones
