Student engagement

Headed by Garmon ap Garth, the Student Engagement team aims to ensure that students are more connected to Birkbeck, leading to improved student experience and retention. Our work includes:

  • running Orientation events for new students
  • ensuring excellent user experience for student interaction with Birkbeck's processes
  • running effective communication channels with current students through the Birkbeck Bulletin, My Birkbeck Profile and social media
  • creating digital assets to support the College processes and communications
  • analysing and responding to student data to identify conversion and retention trends.
