Exhibit with us
Academics and MPhil/PhD students at Birkbeck, as well as academics from outside Birkbeck, can propose exhibitions for the Peltz Gallery.
Eligibility requirements
We encourage any of the following to submit a proposal to us:
- academics at Birkbeck (academics outside of the School of Arts must be supported by a School of Arts academic)
- MPhil/PhD students at Birkbeck (you must be supported by a Birkbeck academic within your school)
- academics outside of Birkbeck (if your proposal is accepted, we will charge you a flat rate for the use of the space).
The proposer must take full responsibility for ensuring that the correct procedures are followed and that the correct personnel are informed about your event.
Owing to the tax status of the Peltz Gallery, all proposed exhibitions must offer free admission. This means that charges cannot be offset from any income.
Submit a proposal
If you would like to make a proposal, please review the following documents and then complete an online proposal form:
- Advice for exhibitors
- Calendar of events at the Peltz Gallery
- Peltz Gallery floorplan and technical spec
Successful proposals
If your proposal is approved, we will assign a member of the Arts Space Steering Committee to work with you. Successful applicants are fully responsible for the exhibition or event, including setup and break down, and all costs incurred by Birkbeck’s Estates team.
We do not handle the sale of any work.
