Who can apply?

You can apply for a Tier 4 visa three months before you start your course if you:

• have been made an offer to study at Birkbeck
• have good English skills
• can pay for your studies and your living costs
• are from a country outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland
• meet other eligibility criteria. 

You can work in most jobs while on this visa, and you may be able to bring your family with you.

There is a fee for making your application.
